Cha cha cha!

Ah...drip, drip. The Pacific Northwest rain has begun in earnest. The clouds hang in low and dark. But I have something fun to turn my thoughts too....La Dee Dah! She's hopefully dry beneath her cover. Plans are being made for a permanent structure to be built. But that is in the works.

Meanwhile, I've been searching for bright and cheerful fabrics to recover the seats. I think I've found a nice red check. The weight is good and yay!!! No wrinkling! I still have to measure and figure the yardage required. Her current seats have zippers and I'm thinking of using Velcro instead. I'll see what will work the best.

La Dee Dah's dining area....so sweet!

Don't ya'  think those red and white checks would make that interior oh so lively? I also have found so many wonderful ideas for window coverings that would compliment the checks. Hmmmm I think my mind is made up! Checks for sure!!

Here are La Dee Dah's  new dishes. We used them on our final trip to the Mt. St.Helen's area. They were really great...easy to clean and tucked up in the cupboard perfectly. See how fab red checks would look with those dishes! Love it!
One more thing people. When I was checking out the fabric I spotted these at IKEA. They are on my wish list...o-o-o-o so darlin'!

Glamp on!

Oh Boy, Lets Go!

Mr. J and I rapidly packed La Dee Dah for her last outing this year.  Then we were on the road traveling out of Portland, past Vancouver and on our way to Seaquest State Park.
This was only our second time traveling with our little 1969 Timberline trailer.
In just a few hours we arrived at Seaquest. Together we unhitched and leveled La Dee Dah. Then Mr. J had the awning up in record time as I was still setting up the interior. He didn't even need  help!

It was so much fun getting out the found objects we've accumulated this last month. My big faves are the red metal apple shaped canisters. They fit on the counter, right behind the stove.

I simply love this pillow! It was discovered in an antique mall in Newport, Oregon. It is so cute...Tango by the light of the moon. It seemed destined for us, since we enjoy ballroom dancing.

Before long camp was ready! La Dee Dah, Oh Boy! Cha Cha Cha!

La Dee Dah my vintage trailer

This is my first entry about La Dee Dah and her glamping adventures. People she already is pretty darlin', but can she be the cutest thing ever???

September disappeared so quickly! October holds the last warmth of a  fine summer and a last outing to Seaquest Park in Washington. But I have a few things to get done before that last glamping hurrah of the year.
La Dee Dah is such a sweet little trailer. I have a lot of plans to spiff her up. So I finally bought dishes for her today. After looking for months for vintage melmac and not finding any in the color I wanted. Plus I worry about old plastic!!! I decided on new Corelle called Spring Pink. They will be easy to store and happen to be a great color and design for my vintage trailer. The plates are rimmed in tiny pink and red flowers and compliment things I already have for her. Ya hoo!
My find last month were adorable apple shaped red metal canisters with bakelite stems for handles on the lids. They fit perfectly along the back of La Dee Dah's little green stove. People, it is so-oh-so cute! Along with these cute dishes, I bought a set of red handled flatware. No more raiding the house! Stay tuned for the pictures when we are on the road.
I'm excited about the International Glamping Weekend scheduled for June 2-3, 2013. Mr. J. and I would like to go, but aren't sure where this year's Oregon Group will meet. Does anybody know? Last year it was at Stubb Stewart State Park near Vernonia.
